AMD visit: AI for chip design and verification

We hosted Oleg Petlin and Oleg Raikhman from AMD at Brown University on September 23, 2026, for a seminar and research discussions on AI for chip design and verification.

Oleg Petlin, Senior Director of Silicon Design Engineering at AMD, presented "Digital Design Verification: Foundations and AI." The seminar introduced foundational verification principles and modern approaches spanning simulation, formal methods, coverage-driven verification, and AI-powered automation.

During the visit, our students presented their research projects and joined discussions about potential collaboration between Brown and AMD. Many thanks to Oleg Petlin and Oleg Raikhman for visiting and engaging with our students and faculty.
